The Type 89 I-Go was an Imperial Japanese medium tank used in the Battle for the Philippines, Manchuria and early WWII. While commonly used throughout Japanese history, it was a poor match for its counterpart, the M4 Sherman, due to its thin armor and low-velocity shells. It was soon replaced by the Chi-Ha.
